Over 300 representatives from government institutions, SWFs, international organizations, businesses and universities attended the event.
In particular, the meeting saw the presence of Pier Carlo Padoan, the Italian Minister of Economy and Finance, and Federica Guidi, the Italian Minister of Economic Development.
Over the three working days, the attendees discussed several topics, including the role of SWFs in supporting economic growth as long-term investors.
The event ended with a session at EXPO 2015, the Universal Exhibition hosted in Milan until 31st October 2015, dedicated to “Invest in Italy”, opened by the remarks of Carlo Calenda, the Italian Vice Minister for Economic Development.
In expressing satisfaction for the meeting, Maurizio Tamagnini, CEO of FSI, which hosted the event, said: “we will accomplish our mission of patient long-term investors, if we make solid investments, whilst promoting growth in a sustainable way”.
